About me

I am a data scientist with a focus on natural language data who has also practical experience in transportation.

I have studied Computational Linguistics with minors of Data Science, Linguistics and Computer Science at the University of Zurich .

My fields of expertise are in information retrieval, information extraction, machine translation and dialogue systems. As a personal hobby I try to learn and keep several foreign languages, most of them featured on this site.

During my studies I worked for three years at the Lake Zurich Navigation Company where I was both responsible for ticket sales, general customer service as well as day-to-day operations.

My passion for languages and transportation combine well in travel, hence I frequently travel using all modes of transport, from 30-minutes flights to Moynak at the Aral Sea to train rides spanning multiple days across Kazakhstan or Russia.

When I am not travelling I like to exercise and relax near or on the water, be it sailing, running, paddling or regular swimming!
